Mel Brown Legacy Fundraiser

The Museum, 10 King Street West, Kitchener

Join The Grand River Blues Society and THEMUSEUM for a night of Blues music to support Mel Brown’s Legacy in Waterloo Region! Funds raised will go towards the creation of a Mississippi Blues Marker in Mel’s name, the first in Canada, plus, a life-size statue of Mel and his guitar sitting on a bench.

During this evening event, enjoy performances from Samantha Martin and Delta Sugar, supported by Steve Strongman, Shawn Kellerman House Band, Miss Angel and Cheryl Lescom.

Celebrate the return to live music and dancing as the Tim Hortons Blues & Jazz Festival brings New Orleans to Port Credit! Join us on Saturday May 28th for a fun filled evening as we bring you a unique take on Louisiana's most exciting musical export in all its toe-tapping, hip-shaking glory. Featuring high energy band Loco Zydeco with guest Chuck Jackson and Cheryl Lescom and a special performance by the Silver Leaf Jazz Band, guarantees there will be great foot stomping music, beads, and extra rubboards for you to try.
